Fellowship Program

Legislative Analyst Program

The Legislative Study Group (LSG) is a research caucus that provides members with informed analyses and recommendations on every bill before the Texas House. Our mission is to equip legislators with the facts and evidence needed for informed decision-making.

Each legislative session, the LSG assembles a team of talented fellows to work as legislative analysts, tracking bills, following committees, engaging with stakeholders, and producing written analysis for House members ahead of floor votes.

Gain firsthand experience researching, analyzing, and shaping public policy in the Texas Capitol.

This fellowship is designed for emerging professionals interested in public policy who want to strengthen their research, writing, and analytical skills while gaining firsthand experience at the Capitol. As a legislative analyst, you’ll have opportunities for professional development, networking, and mentorship while working on real-world policy issues and learning how the legislative process operates in practice. It’s an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a strong foundation for careers in public service, government relations, law, or policy.
